At The Upcycled Soap Company, transparency and safety are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we maintain full compliance with Australian regulations and carry appropriate insurance to protect both our business and our customers.

🧴 AICIS Compliance

We are registered with the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS)—the national regulator for the importation and manufacture of industrial chemicals in Australia. All ingredients used in our soap and personal care products are either:

• Listed on the AICIS Inventory, or
• Introduced under a proper exemption or low-risk category

We conduct due diligence on all raw materials and suppliers to ensure our products remain fully compliant with current chemical safety standards. As a microbusiness, we remain up to date with our annual reporting obligations and are committed to ongoing compliance as our product range evolves.

📋 Insurance Coverage

We hold appropriate Public and Product Liability Insurance to cover our operations, markets, workshops, and events. Our policy ensures we’re covered for the products we sell and the services we provide across Australia, including private soapmaking lessons, community workshops, and pop-up events.

Our insurance gives you peace of mind when using our products or attending one of our classes—because doing the right thing matters, both in business and in life.
